Writing: exit into love

You have one unheard message...

Cover: EXIT INTO LOVE in heavy black capitals over a glitched grey field of the repeated words exit into love and Beep. [fiction], a story by Maximus Quintero. The word Beep. printed over and over into a dark mass down the page, and the line: You have one unheard message...
The message begins: Hey. I don't know where to start. A song, and a friendship from sixth grade, beside a column of Beep. and mirrored, smeared lines.A black page: growing up together at twelve, thirteen and fourteen, and loving a friend who never loved back the same way.
Two columns: staying in the friendship and loving silently, and the nights at the friend's mom's shop, talking until they fell asleep.A mostly empty page with a block of text low on the right: Because I knew it would ruin everything.
A black page: Because deep down, I knew, repeated down the page until the lines blur into each other. An almost empty white page: A gut feeling that this was it. This was the last time.
The last goodbye: I'LL SEE YOU LATER smeared into a black bar, then driving away as their song came on.There's one question I never got to ask you: do you think souls are meant to meet? Another timeline, the same moon, and letting go.
Goodbye, my old friend, above a mass of Click. Click. Click.
